Whether you have a Great Dane or a Poodle, you can find a breed dog toy here. Breed dog toys are important because, as we should know, not all dogs are made alike, and as such, not all dogs will play alike. Having toys that a big breed of dog will enjoy are paramount for entertaining, exercising and just plain having fun with your dog. The same is true for small breeds of dogs. There will be of course, some items that will be adequate for any breed dog toy.
Here are a few things to keep in mind when looking for a new dog toy. Look for toys that are the right size for your dog. Dogs can choke on items just like a child can, so make sure the toy you choose is large enough that it won’t lodge in your dog’s throat. Take into consideration what activities your dog likes, and buy accordingly. Rope toys are good for chasing and chewing, and also help to floss your dog’s teeth.
Try to purchase at least five toys, and rotate them to keep your dog from becoming bored with the same ol’ toy all the time. Make sure to inspect toys periodically, replacing any toy that is losing chucks, cracked or becoming brittle. Be sure to wash your pooch’s toys periodically, as they can and will become quite dirty with all the play they will be receiving.
Also, if you have children, avoid giving your dog the children’s toys to play with, as you don’t want to teach them that it is okay to chew those.
