An outdoor doghouse
Just as the home is important to the family that inhabits it, so is the doghouse as equally as imperative to the dog that resides in it. A doghouse is a man’s best friend’s castle and home base.
It is the equal complement to the larger one that it sits behind, and should be as safe and size conscious as that of the family home. An outdoor doghouse is more than just a box to keep out the rain; it is a vital lifeline for one’s pet that provides a sense of safety and well being as well as a sense of home and comfort.
Since when it comes to doghouses size does matter, a small dog should dwell in a small doghouse and a large dog should make its home in a large doghouse. While this point seems redundant, many pet owners build a doghouse that is too big or too small, which in turn hinders a dog’s ability to keep warm or cool depending on the discrepancy in size.
When a large dog is the king or queen of the home, then there are many factors that come into play when designing a large or extra large doghouse.
For example, a big doghouse needs a doorway large enough to comfortably fit through without letting in the rain or other uncomfortable outdoor elements. A large outdoor doghouse also needs to provide enough space for its owner to move and turn around in with ease while still being cozy enough to keep warm or cool in depending on the season.
Whether the keeper is a large or small dog, a doghouse built for the outdoors should be one that is built with the dog’s needs in mind and one that is durable and built to last through rain or shine.
