Dog Plush Toy

by Carolyn Hellum

Every dog deserves his very own dog plush toy. Whether you are looking for a new training aid for your dog, or just want to add a new favorite toy to the rotation a dog plush toy is a great addition. Dogs love to chew on soft stuff, why not make sure it’s not your slippers, or your soft leather shoes, and give them a plush toy instead.

Toys are more than just another item for your dog to toss around and chew on, they also are very useful in training dogs and for getting in some much needed exercise and energy burning. A dog plush toy is a great choice for this. Most can be purchased with a squeaker, or without; and some even have replaceable squeakers for fido has gotten a bit too rough with his new toy.

As with all toy purchases there are things to consider when buying a dog plush toy for your canine. You want to make sure that the size of the plush toy is breed and size appropriate.

You also want to check to make sure there are no potential choking hazards like sewn-on eyes or nose, or an internal squeaker. If you do choose a toy with an internal squeaker, it is best to keep that as a supervised play toy only.

Periodically check your dogs toys for tears which would lead to ingestion of stuffing or outer material which could be dangerous. You will also want to wash your dogs plush toy occasionally to keep bacteria at bay.

Have fun shopping online for your dog plush toy!
